State police report a search of the Farmington mansion belonging to Fotis Dulos, the estranged husband and alleged killer of missing Fairfield County mom Jennifer Farber Dulos, was performed following his attempted suicide.
The search, conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the Jefferson Drive home, was related to the on-going murder investigation of Jennifer Farber Dulos of New Canaan, state police said.
Citing a gag order by the courts, the department said the warrant would be sealed.
Farmington Police were also conducting a separate search relating to the attempted suicide of Dulos on Tuesday, Jan. 28, by carbon monoxide.
According to multiple sources, Dulos was found inside a Suburban in which a vacuum cleaner hose had been attached to the tailpipe and run into the vehicle.
Sources are reporting that state police found a note during their search with Dulos, 52, claiming his innocence. The note allegedly said that his attorneys had information proving he did not commit the murder.
Meanwhile, members of Dulos' family have arrived from his native Greece and are at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, where he remains in critical condition.
A woman, described as Dulos' best friend, who reportedly put up his bond, has also been at his bedside.
Jennifer Dulos has not been seen since Friday, May 24, 2019, when she disappeared after dropping her five children off at school.
According to court documents, police believe that Dulos was lying in wait for his estranged wife inside the home and killed her and then disposed of her body.
He has been charged with felony murder, murder, and kidnapping.
Dulos, who had been free on a $6 million bail, has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
